When I created Flowing River, I found myself reflecting on how little control we sometimes have—and how beautiful that can be.

A Dutch paint pour is a partnership between the artist and the paint. I choose the colors, but the flowing patterns and delicate cells develop in ways I could never predict. Every painting is one of a kind.

As I watched the blues and silver come alive across the canvas, I was reminded that God works in our lives much the same way. Even when we don't understand where He's leading us, He is creating something beautiful beneath the surface.

"Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them." — John 7:38
