When I was young, I loved watching egrets while on vacation in Florida. I would carefully watch them as they watched me too. I wanted to take one home (we had a nice clean pool for them to swim in and a fenced backyard). This painting captures my fond feelings towards my winged friends as this egret moves slowly behind the marsh grasses and sticks and eventually flew away. What a gorgeous bird!
